First thing this morning was take out the kitchen trash — trash man usually comes early on Friday mornings. 37 degrees and light breeze, didn’t look at wind chill. Decided I could bear that for a few seconds. Camera put firmly on tripod, see last night’s post for explanation. The first two photos, adjusted on photoshop and then back out for the last ones while first two were down loading to Flickr. Someone asked about my night time settings so this time, I made sure I looked at the camera. So I added that to a photo while on Photoshop.
The sky was more black and tree not that visible (light in kitchen lit it) until I lightened exposure so more stars would pop out — I didn’t even see the “dipper” (don’t know which one) with my eyes, so that was a nice surprise when I adjusted the raw file.
Lightened exposure some but colors at the horizon were getting too far from real life. So I cropped out all the back.

Another photo of the above except a bit of enlargement and cropping. Focus not 100% in this photo or the one above. Tree limbs kept playing games with the camera auto focus and my eyes on manual focus.
Camera now moved to the kitchen. Lights turned off and the morning light shining into the kitchen through the east window. I like my little battery operated Christmas lights. I have rechargeable ones and don’t worry about how long I leave them on. Surprised that I only had to move a couple of items to make the area look neat. Usually I have too much “stuff” sitting around, especially since we made a trip to town yesterday — reason why the table is not in view.
I played with this photo on Photoshop, wanting the background not so bright. The texture was some sort of “glass”.
The glass block was added to my Holiday (from shortly after Thanksgiving to after the New Year) decor last year. I sort of like sparkle and lights. After Christmas it will become winter decor, staying until brighter warmer days outside.
